Bible Memory Verses
Sticking Them in Ears
Should be Fun NOT Painful!
Quick – Hide It!
Bible memory verses should be memorized or “hidden” in your kid’s heart.

The good news is that Bible memorization can be lots of fun too!
Mix it Up!

Don’t be predictable and slow – this holds true for all parts of children’s church lessons. .
Mix it up, blend ideas and keep ‘em moving! Don’t just use one game – vary it from week to week or at least every few weeks.
Keep Kid’s Bible games crisp and snappy; don’t let them drag! You’ll wind up with bored kids and worse…discipline problems.
Turn on the Light!
Once again… don’t underestimate what you can do with the Holy Spirit’s help.
Pray and ask God to unleash your creativity too. Take some time to muse and “strategize” with God. Let Him turn that light on.
See what God shows you! I mean, everyone likes to brainstorm, right? Well, can you name someone you’d rather brainstorm with than God? I didn’t think so!
Let’s Take a Look
Let’s take a look at some Bible memorization games and activities. Many have been used for years but we’ve added a creative twist or tweak here and there to update them a bit. We’ve also got a few original ideas we’ve used in our children’s church lessons over the years. Give ‘em a try.
Why is this so important? My belief is that if I could pick one “take home” for my kids each week – wouldn’t that be it? To STICK the word of God deep in their heart?
The cool thing with Bible verses for children is that the kids handle the memory verses over and over.
They read, hear, speak, HANDLE and ultimately hide them in their heart. Keep an eye out for classic games you can adapt for Bible verses for children. Keep them fun and surprise your kids with unique ideas.
Let’s look at some good foundational games for Bible memory verses. These will get you started. Master these and move on with your own twists and tweaks!
