Bible Object Lessons
Salvation is a Lifesaver!
Bible object lessons that are visual. That’s where we left off, right?
Let’s say your Bible lesson for kids is about salvation. Salvation is a big word for kids and even bigger for NON-church kids.
Let’s break down salvation. It means to save or rescue, right?
What’s a simple christian object lesson that clicks with kids here?
Let’s see, ahhhh… a life preserver or life jacket; possibly a rope or a ladder?
I like the life preserver – we can use it later – you’ll see why.
Pull a kid up front to kick off the Christian object lesson. Have them call out for help, like they’re drowning.
Flailing arms, choking, coughing, ham it up. The more action the better!

Don’t be afraid to be silly, over the top! It loosens things up and draws kids in.
Laughter is key! To me, the crazier, the cornier the better. Kids remember that stuff! Laugh with them, relax and have fun together.
Have another kid toss the life preserver to save your drowning volunteer. Tie in our need to be saved from sin.
We are so deep in sin that we are drowning in it! We can’t save ourselves so God tosses us a life preserver, His name is Jesus! That is what salvation is all about!
Simple, crazy and fun – this will stick!
